Small Asian scorpions in their own family, forest floor dwellers rather than desert animals, and genuinely obscure in the Western trade.
Modest size, mild venom, and requiring humidity rather than the arid setup most keepers associate with scorpions. They shelter under bark and leaf litter and are not burrowers in the way the desert species are.
Reliable hobby information is limited, because very few people keep them and there is not much accumulated experience to draw on. Supply is occasional Southeast Asian import with no consistency. Demand is thin rather than production easy, and if you buy one you should expect to work out some of the husbandry yourself.
