Privacy Policy

What we store

• Account: your email and a one-way hashed password (we never see the plaintext).
• Your collection & watchlist: the species, quantities, and any purchase details you enter. Purchase prices are private to you — they are never shown on public profiles or leaderboards.
• Usage basics: standard server logs (IP, timestamps) for security and debugging.

When you click Buy or Shop

Links to a seller pass through FangTrack first, so we can count which listings people act on. For each click we keep:

• the listing: its link, the seller, the species and the asking price;
• the time, and the FangTrack page you clicked from (its address only, never any search terms);
• your country, as reported by our network provider, Cloudflare. We do not read or store your IP address for this;
• your device type: phone, tablet or desktop. We do not store your browser details;
• a visit code that changes every day, so clicks on different days cannot be linked to each other;
• if you are signed in, your account number.

We keep these records for 400 days, then delete them. We use them to count how often each seller and listing is clicked, and we never sell them. If you ask us to delete your account, your clicks stop being linked to it at the same time.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to see which pages are used, how visitors find us and where pages break. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google the pages you visit and your device and browser type; Google uses your IP address to estimate your location. We do not send Google your email address or your account details.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and measure how fast pages load. It sets no cookies and does not fingerprint your browser; Cloudflare receives the page you visit, the page that linked you there, your browser and device type and the load timings.

If you are in the European Union, the wider European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics cookies stay off until you allow them. Everywhere else they are on unless you decline. You can change your choice at any time: Cookie settings, also at the foot of every page and on your account page.

Signing in and remembering your settings, such as light or dark theme, use cookies the site needs to work. We do not use those for analytics.

What we send you

Email about your account, such as a password reset. Watchlist alerts are shown on your Watchlist page after each crawl; they are not emailed or sent to your phone yet. No marketing spam, and any email that is not about your account carries an unsubscribe link.

Vendor & price data

Listing and price data is aggregated from public vendor websites for informational purposes. FangTrack is not affiliated with any vendor, and prices shown may lag the vendor's live site — always confirm price and source (CB/WC) with the seller before buying.

Your choices

You can make your collection public or private, and you can request account and data deletion by emailing us. As a beta, features and data may change or reset.
