Small South American terrestrials with a heavy webbing habit and, in D. diamantinensis, a blue that persists into adulthood rather than fading the way most blue slings do.
Under four inches, fast, and inclined to build a silk retreat and stay near it. Not defensive, just quick to disappear. Easy husbandry, undemanding, good for keepers with limited space.
D. diamantinensis holds a premium the rest of the genus does not, entirely on color. Supply has improved steadily and the premium has compressed, following the standard arc. The other species in the genus get almost no attention, which is usually where the sensible purchase is.
