Asian arboreals, large, and containing O. violaceopes, the Singapore blue, which is one of the biggest arboreal tarantulas available and one of the more dramatic.
Adults reach nine inches with a leg span that makes rehousing a real event. They are fast, they are old world, and they will bolt rather than posture given the option. Arboreal, so vertical space and a cork bark hide, not floor area.
Singapore blues have never been an entry-level purchase. Sac sizes are modest, growth to displayable size takes years, and the color only develops late, so there is a long gap between what a breeder invests and what a buyer will pay for a drab juvenile. That gap is why juvenile pricing stays soft while subadult and adult pricing stays firm.
