Genus Tapinauchenius

Current deals →
New World 9 species

South American arboreals, no urticating hairs, and quick even by the standards of a group defined by quickness. T. violaceus and the various sp. localities.

Slender, long-legged, and less inclined to web heavily than most arboreals, so they use cork bark crevices rather than building. Their default response to disturbance is instant relocation. Not defensive, just unavailable.

Supply is decent, with the locality forms out of Ecuador and the Guianas trading higher than the described species on thinner availability. There is a persistent naming muddle between this genus and Pseudoclamoris following the recent split, and listings using the old name for a species that moved will sometimes sit noticeably below market.
