Caribbean dwarfs and small terrestrials out of Cuba, Hispaniola and the surrounding islands. Under three inches, burrowing, heavy webbing, and almost entirely overlooked.
They build silk-lined retreats and stay in them, which makes them poor display animals and reasonable ones for a keeper who is collecting rather than exhibiting. Husbandry is undemanding and matches other small Caribbean and Central American terrestrials.
Cuban export is nonexistent so everything is captive stock, production is small, and listings are sporadic. The market is thin enough that a single breeder's results move it noticeably. This is a genus where availability is unpredictable and the sensible approach is to buy when you see one rather than to wait for a better price.
