4 species

Asian, African and Australian centipedes, and E. trigonopodus is the blue ring, which is one of the better-looking centipedes in the trade.

Smaller than the large Scolopendra but sharing every relevant trait: fast, capable of forcing a poor lid, and carrying a genuinely painful venom. Escape is the primary husbandry risk and every enclosure decision should follow from it.

Wild-caught African and Asian material with irregular timing, so prices track import cycles rather than any breeding schedule. Availability of specific colour forms is unreliable and the same species arrives under several trade names depending on origin. Buy when you see the form you want, because it may not be there next quarter.
