Genus Rhysida

1 species Rhysida — commonly said as RY-sih-duh

Tropical centipedes in the middle of the size range: fast, banded, pantropical animals below the giants in bulk and identical to them in rules, since there is no exempt centipede.

Speed, a painful bite, and escape ability define the keeping: secure housing, tested lids, forceps maintenance, humid tropical conditions with deep substrate and cover. The venom sits below the giant Scolopendra medically while remaining a genuinely bad hour.

Supply is wild collection across a huge range, arriving in pulses with identification at the shipment level, and prices sit where mid-sized abundance puts them. The genus trades as the step between the native starter centipedes and the giants, offering most of the experience at reduced stakes and reduced cost, with the standing rule unchanged at every size.

Rarity BETA Rarity is supply, and only supply: the tier is how many sellers have ever carried a species, and for a single seller, how many separate listings. Price is not part of it, and neither is how recently it appeared. Tiers are given to tarantula species only.
