Small Caribbean millipedes, and A. monilicornis, the bumblebee millipede, is now established as an introduced species across much of Florida.
Two to three inches, banded, prolific, and one of the easiest millipedes to breed in captivity. They will populate a bioactive enclosure on their own and function as an effective cleanup crew as well as a display animal.
That fecundity puts prices at the floor and keeps them there. Anyone with a culture produces continuous surplus, which means the market cannot sustain a premium for long. If a specific colour form is currently commanding one, the historical pattern in this genus says it will not for more than a season or two.
