The keeping is standard detritivore practice: deep substrate, decaying hardwood, leaf litter, calcium, stable moisture, and a docile, long-lived animal whose red holds better than most millipede color does.
The market is paperwork in miniature: founder stock is fixed, captive breeding is thin, and listings are rare events priced on color plus scarcity together. Older material circulates on soft identification, wild-collected adults carry unknown years, and the genus trades as the Indian entry on the fire millipede shelf, exactly as available as the border allows, which is barely and irregularly.
