Genus Butheolus

1 species

Small Arabian buthid scorpions, compact and quick, from a family whose regional members earn caution by default: the Arabian buthids include some of the most medically serious scorpions anywhere, and undocumented small relatives are treated with the family's respect rather than dismissed by their size.

Sealed housing, forceps maintenance, and a jurisdiction check lead the keeping. The setup itself is simple: arid substrate, stone cover, warmth.

Supply from the Arabian Peninsula is nearly nonexistent, so listings are single events on thin provenance, priced without competition. The genus trades to the specialist scorpion shelf, where regional completism drives purchases and the buyer pool is appropriately small and appropriately careful. The venom position stated plainly: undocumented in a dangerous family means handled as dangerous.

Rarity BETA Rarity is supply, and only supply: the tier is how many sellers have ever carried a species, and for a single seller, how many separate listings. Price is not part of it, and neither is how recently it appeared. Tiers are given to tarantula species only.
