The Indian forest scorpions, split from the old Heterometrus when that genus was revised: large, glossy, heavy-clawed animals built on the reassuring pattern, thick pincers, thin tail, mild venom, and reading correctly as the subcontinent's counterpart to the Asian forest scorpions keepers already know.
Keeping is the forest scorpion standard: humid, burrow-friendly substrate, cover, communal tolerance in many setups, UV fluorescence as the party trick.
The border does the market's work. India prohibits wildlife export, so legal stock descends from pre-ban lines, the founder base is closed, and listings are sparse regardless of demand. The genus name itself postdates most of the material in circulation, so older listings sit under Heterometrus labels, and the cross-search between old and new names is the practical purchase advice.
The line on each tile: lowest ask per day.
Rarity BETA Rarity is supply, and only supply: the tier is how many sellers have ever carried a species, and for a single seller, how many separate listings. Price is not part of it, and neither is how recently it appeared. Tiers are given to tarantula species only.
