The sky-island scorpions: small montane vaejovids scattered across the ranges of the American Southwest, each isolated peak hosting its own species, mild-venomed and cool-running.
The montane origin is the husbandry: default desert heat is wrong, crevice-and-litter housing is right, and the genus keeps like a temperate animal wearing a desert reputation. Sedentary, hardy, long-lived at small scale.
Narrow-range collection supplies a tiny specialist trade, and the endemism note applies with force: single-mountain species deserve provenance questions and captive-bred preference ahead of price. Listings are sparse, identification is range-based as much as morphological, and the genus trades to completists of the most finely divided fauna the US shelf offers.
The line on each tile: lowest ask per day.
Rarity BETA Rarity is supply, and only supply: the tier is how many sellers have ever carried a species, and for a single seller, how many separate listings. Price is not part of it, and neither is how recently it appeared. Tiers are given to tarantula species only.
