Genus Amazonius
The genus created in the early 2020s when Tapinauchenius was broken up, taking the orange tree spider and the ghost tree spider with it. These are slim, fast South American arboreals with no urticating hairs, whose entire defensive repertoire is being somewhere else before you finish opening the lid.
They use cork bark crevices rather than building much web, grow quickly, and are undemanding beyond vertical space and airflow. Rehousing happens in a closed room or it happens twice.
The recent split is the market fact that matters. A large share of stock still lists under the old Tapinauchenius names, prices between the two labels have not converged, and the older listings frequently sit lower. Anyone shopping this genus should search both names every time, because the discount for knowing the synonymy is real and persistent.
The line on each tile: lowest ask per day.
Rarity BETA Rarity is supply, and only supply: the tier is how many sellers have ever carried a species, and for a single seller, how many separate listings. Price is not part of it, and neither is how recently it appeared. Tiers are given to tarantula species only.
