The safe frame is the western South American dwarf package: small, terrestrial to semi-fossorial, webbing, quick, undemanding. New World, urticating hairs present. Accumulated keeper experience rounds to zero, and every circulating care note is extrapolation.
Genus-level obscurity is the market: a couple of sellers, no price history, no anchors, and identification resting entirely on collectors' words. Buyers here are the first data points, which is a legitimate thing to be as long as it is chosen knowingly.
