South American curtain-web spiders: funnel-and-sheet builders in the same family as the Linothele that this site's keepers already know, with the same extraordinary silk output and the same near-total lack of hobby fame.

They drape enclosures in layered sheet web with a funnel retreat and wait at the mouth. Fast, long-spinnereted, and carrying a bite that is unpleasant without being medically serious. The keeping is undemanding: moderate humidity, anchor points for silk, prey delivered to the sheet.

Supply is thin and identification loose, with the family's genera blurring at the listing level. The structural fact is the same one that governs Linothele: spectacular webbing, minimal price, and a durable mismatch between the quality of the display and the attention it receives, because none of it is a tarantula.

Rarity BETA Rarity is supply, and only supply: the tier is how many sellers have ever carried a species, and for a single seller, how many separate listings. Price is not part of it, and neither is how recently it appeared. Tiers are given to tarantula species only.
