Genus Pandercetes

1 species

The lichen huntsmen: moss-textured, bark-flattened spiders camouflaged past the point of ownership, in the sense that keepers reliably lose sight of them inside small enclosures.

Fast, flat, humid-forest dwelling, not medically serious, and containment-governed like the whole family. Vertical bark, moisture, and patience to ever see what you bought. The camouflage is the product and the joke at once.

Southeast Asian and Chinese pulses carry a thin trade, species identification depends on the exporter, and the disappearing act commands a premium over generic huntsman stock for what is otherwise the universal huntsman experience. Availability decides everything; the animals decide whether to be visible.

Rarity BETA Rarity is supply, and only supply: the tier is how many sellers have ever carried a species, and for a single seller, how many separate listings. Price is not part of it, and neither is how recently it appeared. Tiers are given to tarantula species only.
